Skilled - Nominated Visa (by State or Territory Government)

Skilled workers who are nominated by a state or territory government can apply for a Permanent Residency visa subclass 190. 
Application for Skilled - Nominated Visa can only be lodged after submitting an Expression of Interest with SkillSelect and receiving an invitation to apply for this visa subclass.
Any applicant who is interested in being nominated by a state or territory government should indicate this in the Expression of Interest.
Only applicants who have an occupation on Skilled Occupation List set for particular state or territory sponsorship are eligible for a Nomination.

Skilled worker for visa subclass 190 must meet following requirements:
  • be nominated by state or territory government,
  • receive an invitation to apply,
  • meet points test pass mark,
  • nominate a skilled occupation from the relevant skilled occupation list,
  • hold a suitable skills assessment,
  • be under 50 years of age,
  • have at least competent English,
  • and other standard requirements including health and character.
